Ahhh, smell that? Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and love is in the air! Come to think of it, that “love” smells awfully stuffy, and is oddly reminiscent of a dust bunny.. Maybe that’s not love after all, but rather, the smell of a messy home. And nothing is less romantic than a messy home.
No worries though, because that means you can clean your way to Valentine’s Day success, and show your special someone how much you care with the help of a broom.
As Buckingham, PA’s go-to cleaning company, we’d love to help you execute the following tips. Just don’t make us bring a bouquet of roses, because that’s your job, Casanova.
Organize the Kitchen
If you’re like most people, you probably walk into your kitchen and think, wow I wish this space was twice as big. But don’t schedule a contractor to come add an addition just yet, because there are probably many steps you can take to organize your kitchen more efficiently before it comes time to swing hammers at walls.
- Nooks and crannies are great, if you use them efficiently… Make use of the little areas here and there that aren’t currently serving a purpose. Build a shelf above the fridge, or buy a movable breakfast/bar cart that can be wheeled away as necessary.
- Mount pegs on open wall space and hang things from them.
- Labeled containers save a lot of headaches. Get clear containers and move spices, sugar, flour and the like into them. Label them to easily find what you need without having to rifle through a disorganized sea of spice containers.
Organize the Office
If you have a home office, it’s safe to assume that it could probably use at least a little bit of organization. Are books everywhere? Stacks of papers from who knows what piling up on the desk, floor, tables and elsewhere? Spend some time organizing the space—namely compiling necessary documents and trashing (err, recycling) unnecessary ones—and your Valentine will love you for it.
Closet Purge
I could’ve sworn we had walk-in closets when we moved here!
Sound familiar? Chances are, somewhere behind all those clothes, shoes and whatever else, there is a walk in closet behind those doors where you hide your stuff. Do your Valentine and yourself a favor by purging the closet. Go through clothes and shoes and simply organize them into two piles—keep and donate. It may be hard to part ways with that shirt you last wore in 1986, but we believe in you. Besides, think about how happy your special someone will be to have all that space again!
And don’t forget that you have access to the best residential and commercial cleaning service in Doylestown, PA at your fingertips. If you need help with any or all of the above, give us a call! We promise not to overstay our welcome and third-wheel your romantic dinner…
